One for the Murphy's Schedule Starts October 6th!
Breakdown for the 6 weeks:
Week 1: Chapter 1 - 8
Week 2: Chapter 9 - 17
Week 3: Chapter 18 - 25
Week 4: Chapter 26 - 33
Week 5: Chapter 34 - 42
Week 6: Chapter 43 - end
I thought Carly was going to stay at the Murphy's house because she was really attached to the especelly the kids but then she came back wene she was 20! Years that's supprising
I am happy that Carley is going back to her mom but I am also sad that Carley has to leave the Murphy's. I thought she would stay at the Murphys and with Toni
Chapters 35 to the end was good so I thought the end was good but when we got to the end when Carly left I thought the ending was SOOOOOOO!!!!!! Bad. I was confused because in the video we saw it said Carly stays. So I thought the ending was horrible.
I can't believe that Carley leaves the Murphy's! That was such a twist in the end when Carley had to leave them to go to her "mom." I thought that Carley would go against her mom because of what she done, but the mom just cried and apologized. It turns out that the mom saves Carley instead of holding her down so Dennis can hurt her. Carley found all about that in the end of the story. How would you feel if you had to leave the Murphy's, and you were begininig to get close to them? It was so sad that Carley had to leave the Murphy's. In the end, it tells you why the title of the boom is One For The Murphy's. I don't think Carley should have left them.
The end of the book is EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The part of the book I liked the most is the end of the end. That part It is just the BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At th end of the book one for the murphys I thought that Carly was going to stay with the murphys it was really sad when carly left with her mom to loss vagas and mrs Murphy was the sadess murphy on the planet and she sad "I love you Carly "
I can't believe that Carley left the Murphy's and went to Las Vegas with her mother! I love the card that Michael Eric gave Carley when she was leaving. It was funny that Adam gave her a broken matchbox car.
Chapters 35 to the end are really sad. Carly found out that her mom was actually trying to help her when Dennis was hitting her. Carley had to leave the Murphys to go with her actual mom. When Mrs. Macovoy came to get Carley they all gave her presents to remember them but Carley and Mrs. Murphy cried because it was so sad because Carley had been with them for so long and then she had to leave them so fast. Before Carley left Toni came and gave Carley her favorite jacket and then Carley gave Toni her high top sneakers.
OMG!!!! I can not believe that Carley left the Murphy's! I know she left for her mother, but has Carley's mother really changed? Carley's mon ABUSED her, and what about all the fun times at the Murphy's? The good thing is that Carley changed. This was the saddest ending EVER! I wish there was an epilogue and a sequal. But… the end I'd the end.
I think the ending was very sad, because Carley left the Murphy's. I think Carley belonged with the Murphy's, because they were like a real family to her. But, I still feel like Carley belongs with her mom because her mom protected her, and risked her life for her and that's what a real mother does. One part I love was when Carley wished she could have two of her. One for her mom and one for the Murphy's.
I really couldn't believe that Carley left the Murphys! I thought that Carley would be adopted. It was really sad when, right before she got into Mrs. McAvoy's car, she took a picture in her mind of Mrs. Murphy. When I headed that Carley's mother didn't help Dennis hurt Carley I was really surprised. In the middle of the book it seemed like Carley's mom did help Dennis hurt Carley.
Wow I am suprised that Carley didn't stand up and be responsible and be brave like she is and stand up to her mother and tell her that she wants to stay here. When I moved here I had to leave my cousin and all the friends that I made there and start all over and made new friends.
Wow! This is so sad. I really thought carley was going to stay but in the end, she just left. I thought the most touching moments of these chapters were when Toni and Carley were giving each other a part of their lives. That was pretty cool. I thought that carley was ripping Toni off at first. I mean, hi-top shoes for a sweet jacket, that would be nasty trade if I were Toni. Also, when Carley was hugging mrs. Murphy, she said that she never felt how a hug felt.
Wow this was a tough to handle ending. I can not believe that carley went back to her mother, the women that she thought held her down as Dennis kicked carley. It is mentioned in the text that the reason why Carley's mom was hurt so bad was because she called Dennis a monster and threw a vase at him so he would stop beating on her child. When the day came for carley to leave she couldn't leave mrs. Murphy, and mrs. Murphy had a tough time leaving Carley. I think that through out all those chapters mrs. Murphy and Carley builded a great bond. Mrs. Murphy even told Carley that she was a foster kid as well. If I was Carley I would have had an extremely tought time leaving a family like that if I was in Carley's situation.
It was so sad when Carly actually left the Murphys and went back to her mom. If I was Carly I would without a doubt stay with the Murphys. I thought it was really nice when Mrs. Murphy and Carly hugged but it's also sad because that was the first hug she has ever received. If Carly stayed just a little longer I'm sure she would be so connected to the Murphys that she would have to stay. I can't believe she stayed for 80 days. This was a great book.

I couldn't believe when Carley found out that her mother helped her when Dennis was hurting her and sacrificed herself for Carley. Carley actually wanted to cry but thought she couldn't and mrs.murphy told her that it was human and she finally released all of her emotions. Her goodbye party was sad. Toni was actually sad and Toni usually never shows any emotion. It was funny when Michel Eric prayed for the food and asked God to keep Carley with him. I can't believe she left.
I can't believe the book ended like that! Can you believe it! I can't. I would have liked the happy ending better but I think the author made a good choice. It is more realistic that way.
I don't want the book to end! I loved reading it. Can you believe that Carley visited her mother in the hospital! Carley didn't forgive her after she though that she grabbed her ankle so Dennis could hit her, Mrs Macovy helped Carley remember that turns out her mother tried to help her. Carley forgave her but if she did that ment she had to leave Connecticut and go to Las Vegas and start a new life. But the sad part is she had to leave the Murphy's! It was so dissopiointing and hard for me. I agree with Amaya it is really sad!
I thought that it was interesting how Carley learned that her mother wasn't trying to hurt her in the scene that left to her foster care. I really thought that her mother was trying to hurt her. And the end, I was suprised and sad that Carley went to her mother and didn't stay with the Murphy's. The way the end was worded made it much sadder.
I could not believe the last few chapters reviling that carly left, it was such a devastated ending after all the love from mrs murfy and the rest Tony her only best friend I also agree with Mikey's comment it was a horrible last chapter .
I thought that Carley leaving the Murphy's was so sad!!!!! Hopefully Carley will visit Mrs. Murphy. Daniel was so nice to give Carley his basketball. I feel really bad for Micheal Eric because he doesn't really understand that Carley is leaving forever. This book is amazing. It is so sad! There is such a twist in the way Carley leaves. It is soo emotional! i agree with Emma because it was tough to handle the ending.
It was sooo sad when Carley had to leave Mrs.Murphy and go with her mom to Vegas. It was so nice of daneil to give Carley his basket ball. I thought it was funny when Michael Eric gave Carley a paper spelling C-R-L-Y. I hope she visits mrs.murphy in the future.

I would of better if carley was adopted by the Murphy's because the story would of been longer and more of Carley's life

I agree with Dylan because if Carley just stayed with Mrs.Murphy she would realize that the Murphy's were a good home and stay longer
